Swimmers ready to ‘Get Rowdy’
Held at the facility named after the man synonymous with competitive swimming in Central Florida, the Winter Haven Stingrays will host their annual “Get Rowdy” swim meet from Friday, Sept. 21 to Sunday, Sept. 23, at the Rowdy Gaines Olympic Pool, 210 Cypress Gardens Blvd., SW, in Winter Haven.
The two day event is the Stingrays annual short course swim meet. In total, more than 500 swimmers are expected to participate.
The Stingrays are a member of USA Swimming and are sponsored by the City of Winter Haven and supported by the Stingray Parent Association.
On Friday, the event starts at 5 p.m. During the weekend, morning sessions start at 8:30 a.m. while the afternoon sessions will not start before noon.
