PGTV wins for PCASA

Polk Government Television’s efforts on producing the Polk County All Sports Awards and Hall of Fame Induction recently received national recognition during the annual NATOA Government Programing Awards, being named an Award of Distinction Winner.

The NATOA, the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors, was founded in 1980. They are a professional organization comprised of individuals or organizations involved in either communications policies or services in local governments across the country.

The awards are among the highest honors government programming can receive nationwide.

By honoring the outstanding accomplishments of high school and college students as well as Polk-based professional athletes and teams, the Polk County All Sports Awards (PCASA) is an annual event that celebrates all the various forms of sports participation in Central Florida. Both PCASA nominees and winners are selected by a committee of area subject experts. Additionally, the Ledger presents high school specific awards.

Without PGTV’s efforts, neither the event nor the celebration of athletes would be possible. We salute not only their efforts, but their NATOA win.
