The Imperial Polk Gun Club, Inc. offers to the public, Skeet and Trap shooting on a recreational basis on Wednesday and Saturday 9-5, Thursday 6-10 and Sunday 1-5. Instruction is available for beginners.
The Club is located on Race Pit Road, which is 1/4 mile south of the intersection of Recker Highway and Spirit Lake Road. The Club phone number is 863-299-4853. The Club, better known as Polk County Skeet & Trap Club, has hosted major Skeet and Trap tournaments, the most notable being the Dixie Shoots, which have attracted shooters from around the country. While tournaments remain a major component of The Club’s schedule, recreational shooting available to the public is the primary focus.
