Water Skiing

Water Ski facilities in Polk County play host to the National Governing body to the sport of water skiing in the United States. USA Water Ski calls Polk County home. Polk County has 554 lakes with in the county making Polk County an ideal location for the water sports enthusiast. USA Water Ski headquarters also showcases the Water Ski Hall of Fame. Cypress Gardens has one of the longest running ski shows in the United States. On the collegiate level Florida Southern College has a ski team which they host several ski events every year. Florida Southern College also offers ski lessons at their Lake Hollingsworth ski facility.  With over 50 boat ramps in the county you can enjoy every type of water skiing from barefoot to wakeboarding.
